‘Shanti’ is not just about musical fusion but in true sense a fusion of musical personalities coming together to create the perfect musical serenity called “Shanti”. Each member of Shanti is master in his own field and they have come together by choice to follow their heart and to make music which is in their pulse.

Yograj – Sitar & Group Leader
He is a present face of young musician hailing from Goa. Yograj is the disciple of renowned sitarist from itwa gharana ustad Shahid Parvez. Under his able guidance Yograj has blossomed into a matured and seasoned Sitarist. A perfect blend of Gayaki and Laykari is unique feature of Yograj. Today he is looked upon as true representative of Itwa gharana. He was born in the family of musicians. His grandmother Pirozbai was the disciple of legendary maestro of Agra Gharana Ustad Nanhe Khan.

Mayuresh Vast – Tabla
M. A. with Tabla from Shivaji University Kolhapur in First Class and II in Merit.
He is under guidance of Shri. Amod Dandade of Farukabad Gharana.
Special guidance in Tabla from Pandit Arvinda Mulgaonkar.
Performed various music Concerts. Was a participating member for the chorus
Tabla Group foundation (Mumbai), to perform various compositions
of Late Ustad Amir Hussain Khan Saheb.

Irshad Ahmed Khalifa – Saxophone
Learned music from his father and noted musician from bollywood Mr. Nooruddin.
Irshad is a A Grade Saxophone player of Cine association Mumbai. Accompanied
famous bollywood singers like Shabbir Kurar, Bappi Laheri, Anuradha Paudwal
Sukhvinder Sing (Sufi Music) etc. He also plays Western Flute and all brass
instruments.

Vishnu Shirodkar – Key board

Basic training under the guidance of his father Shri. Suryakant Shirodkar, who is
noted musician from Goa. Vishnu known as leading key board player from Goa.
Playing Indian as well as Western music styles. Accompanied famous Singers like
Suresh Wadkar, Sudesh Bhonsle, Varsha Usgaonkar etc.
Won best background music for a Tele-play produced by DD Doordarshan

Prachala Amonkar – Vocal
She was under guidance of Pandit Babanrao Haldankar of Agra Gharana who
is a famous classical singer from Mumbai. Now she is under guidance
of Alka Dev Marulkar a famous vocalist from Pune. Performed all most all
major festivals in India. She is ‘B’ high Grade Artist of All India Radio.
Working as a lecturer in Goa Kala Academy.

Sajid Ahmad Khalifa – Acoustic drums

A well known drum player by all standards. who also plays Indian percussions.
Played drums for various Western musicians & also for symphony Orchestra of Goa.

Sergei Godinho – Bass Guitar
Started music career at the age of 13 for School band played with reputed bands
like white winds, civilians, status 4 off late also jamming with
rock Band – Bad Blood. One of the best Bass Guitarist from Country.
